I am reaching out to you on behalf of Iowa Legal Aid (ILA). ILA is a statewide nonprofit organization that provides free civil legal assistance to eligible people in Iowa. We serve all 99 counties through 10 regional offices across the state. Some of the issues Iowa Legal Aid helps with include helping tenants avoid unlawful evictions and possible homelessness, helping consumers avoid unlawful garnishments so they can pay their house, rental, car, and utility bills, helping survivors of domestic violence and their families obtain safety, stability, and self-sufficiency, and helping individuals receive their entitled benefits so they can meet their basic needs now and in the future.
