LOOKING AHEAD TO A GREAT LABOR DAY IN GRAETTINGER!
Dear residents,
As we move through the final stretch of summer, I'm grateful for the energy, pride, and neighborliness that continue to shine throughout the community. With Labor Day just around the corner, I want to share a few updates and reminders as we preepare for one of Graettinger's favorite traditions.
Community Events
- Graettinger Labor Day Celebration: Our annual celebration is nearly here, and we're excited to welcome everyone downtown for music, food, local vendors, and activities for all ages. It's a wonderful chance to support local businesses and enjoy time with friends and neighbors.
- Farmers Market: Every wednesday morning at Fahnestock Park, you'll find fresh produce, homemade goods, and friendly faces. Thank you for continuing to support our local growers and makers.
- Library Downtown Story Walk: Every two weeks, a new story will be displayed across our downtown business. After your family completes the walk, stop by the library to visit Leslie and pick up a free copy of the featured book to enjoy at home.
City Improvements
- Street Repairs & Beatification: Crews continue patching and improving streets across town. Your patience and cooperation help us keep Graettinger safe, accessible, and welcoming.
Public Safety
- Fire Safety Tips: Please remember to test smoke detectors and follow safe grilling practices as you enjoy summer gatherings.
- Community Watch: If you notice suspicious activity, report it to city officials or local PD. Working together keeps Graettinger safe and strong.
As visitors and families prepare to celebrate with us, I kindly ask everyone to take a moment to tidy up yards, trim overgrowth, and remove debris. A little cleanup goes a long way in showing pride for our community and ensuring Graettinger looks its best for the holiday weekend. Your efforts help create the warm, welcoming atmashere our town in known for.
Thank you for your comtinued commitment to Graettinger's future. Together, we make this community a wonderful place to live, work, and celebrate.
Wishing you a safe, joyful, and memorable Labor Day season,
Brandon Armstrong
